What started out in 1999 as a young man’s way to simply get himself through college, has blossomed into a full-fledged, growing & successful landscaping company. For over 25 years and counting, Lone Star Landscaping LLC has been one of the premier leaders in the Dallas-Fort Worth green industry. With some of the best teams & individuals, hard work, reliability and innovative & cutting edge ideas, we know this is just the beginning.

AARON GOAR
OWNER
Aaron Goar is a born & raised Texas native, has lived in Dallas-Fort Worth since the age of 13, and has often said he cannot imagine living anywhere else. He began Lone Star Landscaping as a way to pay for college, not expecting it to become his full-time career. His outstanding ability to communicate and relate to any kind of client is what helps Lone Star have the long term-clientele that it has. He is grateful everyday for the passion and success he has found in what he does.
Aaron has been married to his wonderful wife Ashley for 11 years, and they just recently welcomed their daughter, Amelia, to the family. While not working, he enjoys spending time with them and their two pups. He and Ashley LOVE to travel, having visited 29 countries, with Italy being their “magical place in the world.” Aaron loves any sports teams from Texas, and especially from the Dallas area. He has operated in the green industry for over 23 years.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Aaron Perez has been in the green industry for 8 years. He loves managing our landscaping processes, being outdoors and interacting with each of our clients. Ask any client, and they love interacting with him as well!
Aaron, his wife Cristina, and their 2 boys – Aaron Jr. and Bruno – love the North Texas area, and enjoy spending their free time with family & friends.

INSTALLATION MANAGER
Chris Byrne is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, and moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area back in 1995. Similarly to Lone Star’s owner Aaron Goar, Chris started in the landscaping industry as a means for income during college. His love for landscaping grew and has continued ever since.
Chris brings a wealth of experience & skill to the company every single day, having spent over 25 years in the green industry – including continued education in irrigation courses to maintain his Licensed Irrigation Certification. In his free time, he loves to spend time with family and their dogs. He also enjoys trying new food and playing anything water-related.
Drew tharp
SALES DIRECTOR
Drew Tharp is a dedicated professional with over 14 years of experience in customer service, bringing a passion for helping others and creating positive experiences. He holds a degree in sports management from PCC, combining his love for athletics with strong organizational and leadership skills. Whether engaging with clients or teammates, he values hard work, integrity, and strong communication.
Outside of work, Drew enjoys the simple pleasures of life – good Texas barbecue, Texas sports, classic country music, and quality time with his wife, son, and their two dogs. Sundays are reserved for church, reflecting his commitment to faith and community. Whether gathered around the grill or cheering on his favorite teams, he finds joy in family, good food, and meaningful connections.
